This morning I was still in Mexico-

Now I’m back in the states. I’m still trying to adjust to the change. I was so disoriented on my first trip to the bathroom in this country; I kept looking around the stall for a trashcan! Eventually, it dawned on me that it is permitted to throw toilet paper into the toilet. But that’s not the only thing that has disconcerted me on my reentry. Everyone walks agonizingly slow (it annoys me). Furthermore, people are not as polite. I liked greeting people I didn’t know and telling them “buen provecho”. Those manners have really disappeared in this society. Also, I was closer to the mobilization within the country against the imposition of a shit ‘president’. Plus, it’s much too quiet in this town. Oh, I miss the city-life already.
